# ILLEGAL FLOWER TRIBUTE

Showing bamboo slips being curled, pressing together flowers, which were finally burned to ashes.

Those “illegal flowers”, appearing alongside the historical films, were like two windows facing each other. All the things were gazing across through the two opposite windows.

In this short film, flowers represent the will and the resistance of the people. They are at the same time fragile and strong. Nevertheless, these flowers cannot escape being bound, squashed and hidden from sight. Plots are even made for their destruction. Just like the brave people who press forward, their deeds are eventually sealed in the tombstone of history.
