The singularity in the Whitney Umbrella model represents a point of divergence or radical change in the function. This led the artist to realise that human society lies in the recognition that social systems are not static or linear but are subject to sudden shifts and unpredictable changes. Singularities in human society create spaces for reimagining social relations, questioning prevailing ideologies, and envisioning alternative futures. The singularity acts as a catalyst for change, encouraging individuals and communities to reevaluate their positions, engage in critical reflection, and participate in the construction of new social realities.
